Founder of Personal Evolution

I don’t just teach boundaries. I’ve had to build mine—layer by layer—through systems that weren’t built for someone like me.

Founder, Therapist, Consultant

Blending lived experience with clinical expertise to transform relationships, leadership, and liberation in practice.

The Work Behind the Words

I’m Kat Glick, LCSW—therapist, consultant, educator, and disruptor of stuck systems.

The work I do today is born from lived experience, not just licensure.
I’ve sat in the client’s seat, questioning whether healing was even possible.
I’ve stood at podiums trying to explain trauma-informed leadership to rooms that weren’t ready to hear it.
I’ve navigated systems that praised professionalism but punished authenticity.

And I built something different.

How I Got Here: From Survival to Strategy

Through the Lens of Liberation

My journey began in clinical mental health, doing deeply personal work in spaces that often avoided the political. Over time, the gaps became impossible to ignore:

  • Therapy rooms that asked clients to change—but never examined the system.

  • Organizational strategies that promised equity—but ignored lived trauma.

  • Supervision models that prioritized neutrality over justice.

So I created something else:

  • Personal Evolution — a solo practice rooted in empowerment, education, and access.

  • Fishtown Wellness — a collective of affirming, liberation-minded clinicians.

  • Empowering Evolution — the current chapter: bold consulting, trauma-informed strategy, and intimate relational healing.

``We must live a life of health if we are to be effective healers.``

What I Believe
(And Bring to Every Room)

  • Relationships reflect the systems around them
  • Power exists in every room—ignoring it is a choice
  • Vulnerability is not weakness—it’s revolutionary
  • DEI without trauma-awareness is just branding
  • Supervision should challenge and affirm—not flatten
  • Liberation doesn’t happen by accident—it’s designed

How I Work
(With You, Not On You)

Blending the Personal with the Professional

I don’t believe in surface-level fixes. My work integrates clinical expertise, lived wisdom, and liberation-based frameworks—meeting people and organizations where they are, and moving them toward what’s possible.

Modalities in Practice (with real-world application):

  • Relational Life Therapy (RLT): Power repair + accountability in action.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Parts work, self-integration, and compassion.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Attachment, vulnerability, and bonding.

  • PACT (Psychobiological Approach): Neuroscience of reactivity + secure functioning.

  • Developmental Model: Growth beyond codependence into differentiation.

  • CBT & DBT: Practical tools for real-world regulation.

  • Mindfulness & Somatic Practices: Building resilience and embodiment.

My approach is always trauma-informed, identity-affirming, and liberation-rooted.

Why People Work With Me

  • “Kat doesn’t just help couples reconnect—she helps them transform.”
  • “We brought her in for DEI. We left with a new culture.”
  • “Her supervision changed the way I practice and live.”

Kat’s Impact in Action

Couples Therapy Breakthrough
A lawyer couple came in on the brink of separation—burnt out, resentful, and unable to communicate. Together, we untangled power dynamics, rebuilt intimacy, and created a partnership rooted in honesty and care.

Organizational Culture Repair
A nonprofit reeling from DEI backlash invited me to help. Instead of patching optics, we slowed down, confronted the rupture, and co-designed structures for accountability. The result: greater staff trust and a healthier culture.

Clinician Supervision Transformation
A licensed clinician once told me: “Kat helped me decolonize my practice—without losing clinical integrity.” That’s what supervision here looks like: bold, affirming, and rooted in liberation.

Final Words (From Me to You)

“I don’t just teach boundaries. I’ve had to build mine—layer by layer—through systems that weren’t built for someone like me.

This work isn’t about being perfect. It’s about becoming more human, together.”
